Program Overview

The Adult Education and Literacy program at Lone Star College offers classes at no cost for adults (age 19 or older). Classes offered include GED, GED en Español, or English (ESOL). Classes are offered in person or online, morning and evening options. All students must make an appointment online to attend an orientation and complete registration paperwork. Students will take the TABE test on a computer to determine the class level, no cost. Valid documentation and attendance is required to enroll. We have staff at who can help with questions or registration at these two locations:

Note: GED preparation is offered for students ages 16-18, additional paperwork is required, see our webpage or call for details.

All high school equivalency/GED Prep classes offered by the Adult Education program are FREE. Students can select classes taught in English or Spanish.
