8th and College Connections English Language Learners Program

Program Overview

Our program offers in-person classes for adults, taught by volunteers. We have held our classes in the same location since 2001. Our classes meet in person on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 PM. There are no requirements to join our classes. Our school year runs from September through mid-May, with open admissions at any time during the school year. Our program is flexible to accommodate irregular work schedules. We usually run a shortened summer session from mid-June through late July. We provide childcare at no charge. Classes are held in five levels, from Beginner Basic through level 4. Over half our students are beginners. We are located in Trinity Las Americas Church across from Moulton Elementary School. We welcome students of all language backgrounds and have additional support for Spanish speakers, who are the majority of our students.
