Program Overview

Open the doors of opportunity for you and your family! Crete Public Schools (CPS) has been providing educational and support services to adults and families for over 30 years. Our programs include adult education, GED® preparation and testing, English language acquisition (ESL), Family Literacy, and Community Cafes. These programs serve hundreds of participants and their families each year. There is no charge for our services although some programs have eligibility requirements.

CPS also collaborates with many different people and organizations to provide students and families with the help they need to be successful at home, school, and work. Partners include Blue Valley Community Action, Blue Valley Childhood Development Center, Crete Public Library, Doane University, Head Start/Early Head Start, Food Bank of Lincoln, National Center for Families Learning, Nebraska Departments of Labor and Health and Human Services, Public Health Solutions, the Crete United Church of Christ, and others. We also rely on a group of amazing, dedicated volunteers.

Our office is located in the Cardinal Welcome Center. Come see how we can help you and your family, or come learn about opportunities to give back to your community today.
