We have been serving families for 45 years. We currently serve 814 children in classroom settings at 9 sites throughout 3 counties. We also serve the families one-on-one or in small groups focusing on those who need to learn English or study for their GED. We collaborate with the local school districts who provide testing sites. We offer language and literacy skills training and home activities to all families through small group or one-on-one training. We have computers for use by parents and staff that assist them in preparing a resume or learning new computer skills. We work in collaboration with other programs to refer families that need additional assistance such as more formal classes to learn English. We also strongly encourage adult family members to volunteer in our program.
