Student and Volunteer Success Stories
My number one goal in life is to get a good job where I can help my family – somewhere I can be confident with my English. Growing up in Mexico I never went to school – the school was very far away and my father said it was too dangerous for us to walk there. I came to Literacy Achieves to learn English. I have one daughter – she is 3 ½ years old and she loves coming to school with me. She and I learn English together – she helps me and I help her. My favorite thing about Literacy Achieves is the teachers – they are always available to answer our questions and they are so patient with us. They really help us learn! - Maria, student at Literacy Achieves
