Program Overview

Reach and Exceed your Goals! - The Literacy Center at Upland Public Library provides FREE one-on-one tutoring for adults struggling with basic literacy concepts including reading, writing, vocabulary, and comprehension. Learners are matched with trained volunteer tutors, who work together to help the learner meet his or her individual goals.

Change a Life! - The Adult Literacy program welcomes volunteers who want to make a difference by providing one-on-one tutoring to adults seeking to improve their literacy skills. No previous tutoring or teaching experience is required as training and ongoing support are provided.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Upland Public Library is to provide information resources and services for the intellectual, educational, cultural enrichment of our community.

Hours of operation: Monday through Thursday 9-6 and Friday 8 - 5

Cost info: Our literacy services are provided free of charge.
