Our program started in 2012 as a collaborative effort between the Fairchild Public Library, the Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC), and the Osseo Fairchild Public School district. Our goal was to provide local access to the technical college through the Fairchild Public library, and provide one on one, as well as computer based instruction. WILLO offers GED/HSED preparation, computer literacy and skill tutorials, career exploration and planning assistance, and test preparation (including SAT, ACT, and military entrance exam). Each Wednesday from 3-7 at the Fairchild Public Library, an instructor from Neilsville CVTC, and two certified instructors are available. WILLO is offered free of charge. The only expense is the cost of the individual GED tests which must be taken at an official testing site. We have four GED graduates so far and look forward to many more.
Hours of operation: Wednesdays 3-7
