Program Overview

South Coast Literacy Council, an all volunteer educational and charitable non-profit, has 27 ESL tutoring centers located in South Orange County, California. Students receive instruction in small groups from volunteer tutors. SCLC provides online training for prospective tutors, plus two training workshops each year.

Mission Statement

SCLC's principal mission is to assist adults to acquire the English language skills they need for daily living, to take advantage of employment opportunities, and to integrate fully into society.
