Adult learners are paired with a trained tutor to prepare for whatever educational goal the learner may have. We provide the learner a tutor, a place to study, and the materials necessary at no cost to the learner. We teach basic literacy, computer literacy, job readiness skills, prepare students for the Citizenship Test , and prepare individuals for the GED. These basic literacy skills enhance the quality of life, strengthen job skills, and improve employment opportunities. We train and support tutors to recognize the needs of their students. We provide the tutors with materials, teaching techniques and strategies, to be effective in teaching basic literacy, ESL, and GED prep. We develop community awareness about literacy as an issue, through advocacy, education, and service.
Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm
Cost info: All tutoring and material is free. Our program is completely free.
