Program Overview

The Town of Mooresville operates the Selma Burke Community Center. The facility is named in honor of the artist from Mooresville who depicted President Franklin D. Roosevelt on the US dime. Selma's World offers activities aimed at positively impacting children and families. Activities offered include after school, school out day, and summer camps. In all youth activities reading and literacy is a fundamental component. Parents have the opportunity to take part in ESL, GED, and Adult Basic Education through a partnership with Mitchell Community College.

Cost info: Cost vary based on program and activities typical cost after school- $25 per week , school day out- $15 per day, and summer camp - $30
