Program Overview

Second Start@yourlibrary began in February 2012. It targets adults age 16 and over who are not in school. The program focuses on literacy and ESL instruction. Since its beginning, 180 volunteers have taught reading and/or English as a second language to more than 400 students.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Greenwood County Library is to help our citizens be more connected, informed, and entertained through free access to our resources and programs.

Hours of operation: Mon - Wed 9 - 8; Thurs-Fri 9-5:30; Sat 12-4; Sun 2-5:30

Cost info: There is no charge for students living/working/attending school in Greenwood County. The Library provides workbooks and other materials for students. Tutors are library volunteers.
