SAGAN University is an online university with 501(c)3 status. We have developed two levels of programming: 1) AIMS noncredit courses (remedial / prerequisite support for formal post-secondary or workforce training programs); and 2) SAGAN University undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Both the AIMS noncredit program and the SAGAN University degree programs are well conceived and structured, and include provisions for individual student support through the WALP (Wellness, Academics, Leadership, and Practice) initiative, a value-added mentored support element for students. Through online delivery of course work, AIMS and SAGAN students experience transformative learning experiences that balance academic rigor with personal and professional growth.
Every course has a designated assignment that takes students into the workplace. The assignment can be a simple exploratory experience or a mini-internship. The WALP mentor works with students to establish individual learning objectives for the workplace experience – we encourage (not inhibit) students to be self-directed, life-long learners. This co-creation of onsite, workplace experiences guarantee that upon program completion, students will have a listing of people and places with whom they have networked.
Our mission is to deliver affordable, student-centered and workforce-focused educational programs through personal guidance, tools, and workplace experiences to support students in pursuit of their career goals.

Cost info: Our budget and tuition pricing are in alignment with our mission: …..to deliver affordable, student-centered and workforce-focused educational programs through personal guidance, tools, and workplace experiences to support students in pursuit of their career goals. Our emphasis on "affordable" is a key component in our approach to literacy and postsecondary education. AIMS tuition = $195.00 per course SAGAN tuition = $350.00 per credit Student acceptance criteria for the AIMS noncredit program is open enrollment; applicants to SAGAN University will need a high school diploma, a GED, or have successfully completed four of the basic AIMS courses (English, critical thinking, math and writing).
The AIMS noncredit literacy development program is designed to support undereprepared, underserved, and minority populations. Most typical, community colleges and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Centers have provided a chance for underprepared students to succeed in workplace and post-secondary education, regardless of income levels, ethnicity or family background -- but, across the country these programs have had their funding cut. The AIMS program is designed to fill that gap.
Key aspects of the AIMS program center on support for underprepared, underserved and minority learns: 1) Student-centered and workforce-focused; and 2) Individual WALP program support through a mentor-student relationship that enhances student's abilities to conceive of possible selves and to reflect on personal beliefs; and 3) Guided and structured learning scenarios.
