Program Overview

We help adults 16 and older and out of school who come to us for one-on-one tutoring help to develop learning needs they have identified and prioritized and are motivated to develop.

Mission Statement

The Roswell Literacy Council is dedicated to providing literacy development support for adults in Chaves County age 16 and older and out of school with trained, dedicated tutors in one-on-one learning settings.

Hours of operation: Open at 9 a.m. Monday-Friday

Program’s Demographics/Metrics

Chaves County in New Mexico has approximately 60,000 population. One third need help with English language proficiency; one half need help with literacy skills development - listening, speaking, reading, writing, thinking and understanding.
