Program Overview

Organized in 1991 our mission is to improve the lives of youth in the community through counseling, tutoring, job placements and other supportive services. Our Family Engagement Program (Seeding Early Skills) and Summer Reading Program (Seeding Skills Reading Plus Clinic) are the corner stones or our programming.

Due to COVID-19, education and support services are delivered through an online distance learning platform.

Seeding Early Skills is a birth through school age program that provides the ultimate bonding experience for parent and child. Through cooperative play, parents are given evidence-based tools to help facilitate programming with their child in the community and at home. This physical literacy program combines music, dance and educational tools that nurture a multi-sensory approach to learning.

Designed for ages 6-Adult, Seeding Skills Reading Plus Clinic targets the problems of struggling readers by providing systematic, progressive literacy intervention. This program sustains motivation and brings about measurable improvement in reading comprehension by providing the science of how students learn to read. Interventions includes basic skills in phonemic awareness, decoding, and reading fluency.
After an Educational Diagnostician or Reading Specialist pinpoint the root cause behind literacy challenges, students receive intervention in critical areas that can provide the keys to unlocking the power of reading comprehension.
