Our program targets the entire family by serving a free, delicious meal. We then provide English classes at four levels from beginning to advanced. We offer Citizenship tutoring and partner with the adult education department through Butler Community College to provide a GED prep class and career planning. While the adults are studying English, their elementary aged children are in a "Kidz Club" which hosts 4 rotational stations (character building lesson, crafts, games and a science lab). There is a youth program with activities and games for the middle school and high school aged students and a nursery for infants and toddlers. We are averaging 159 students weekly and after 9 sessions, have worked with over 3,000 students. Currently we have two sessions yearly in the fall and spring. In between sessions we provide family oriented community events to bridge the cultural and language gaps while fostering an on-going integration into the community. These events, such as Fall Trunk or Treat, and Christmas Gingerbread House are extremely well attended. Although our program primarily focuses on the Hispanic community, we reach out to all ethnic groups.
