Program Overview

We provide instruction for adults (age 16 - 66 and over) including basic literacy skills, high school equivalency (GED in KS) preparations to earn Kansas State High School Diploma from the Kansas Board of Regents , and Skill building for preparation for the workplace and post secondary education. Our program offers two classes: Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 12:30 am and for those who work during the day, evening class: Monday - Wednesday: 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

We are also a Pearson Vue testing site on Fridays: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Our program has been in existence since 1973. We have served approximately 8,000 residents of southeast Kansas. Over 2,000 of those students completed the GED exam to earn a high school diploma, currently awarded by the Kansas Board of Regents.

Hours of operation: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Cost info: $ 30 materials fee for full school year (July 1 - June 30). Materials fee pays for all school supplies, consumable materials, and GED Ready practice tests.
