The New Beginnings Alternative Education & Career Center will open Monday-Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. excluding holidays. The focus of the Career Center is to increase the employability rate and skills of community members; increase the enrollment of youth between the ages of 16 to 24 years in our Employability Skills Training and to increase the number of at risk youth and their families completing their GED program thereby making them more employable. The GED program has the capacity for a maximum 25 students who are likely to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and are in need of academic and personal support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. The focus is slightly different based on the individual but the goal remains the same; empower the person to make positive changes and expose them to the possibilities of higher education.
