Program Overview

MALC is an all-volunteer, 501(C)(3) non-profit organization founded in Nov. 1983. Our mission is to serve the Southeast Valley community of Maricopa County by bringing together adult students who lack basic literacy skills and/or who are learning English as another language with volunteer tutors. Our services include one-to-one tutoring, small-group classes, and conversation groups. Our tutors help their students achieve individual goals such as passing the citizenship test, preparing for GED classes, and improving conversational skills so that they can function better in the community.

Hours of operation: By appointment
