Lessons are free and individually scheduled at times convenient to student the tutor. If students are able, we ask that they pay for their workbooks. We also provide periodic small group classes in computer literacy, health literacy, and workplace English in cooperation with local small businesses.
To teach adults in Frederick County the reading and other English language skills they need to provide for their families and contribute to the wellbeing and prosperity of our community.
By promoting literacy, the Literacy Council of Frederick County empowers people to live more fulfilling lives.
