Program Overview

LaAmistad's English for Successful Living (ESL) teaches immigrant adults who seek to make a better life for themselves, their family and community with English language proficiency classes. A life skills based curriculum is used that promotes self-sufficiency and strengthens student's ability to become more vital members of the communities in which they work and
live. ESL has grown to seven locations serving hundreds of English language learners annually across Metro Atlanta. The classes are provided by trained volunteers that take a student from introduction to English to fully conversational in 3 years. Students can register and purchase books online by completing an ESL Registration at https://www.laamistadinc.org/Forms/ESLRegistrationForm or in person at any of our ESL locations. Please check our calendar for important dates and program locations. For any additional questions contact ESL Director Johanne Jean at 678-752-1144.
