Program Overview

Jefferson College Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program offers classes at three sites in Jefferson County: Hillsboro, Arnold and High Ridge. Due to COVID, the High Ridge site is closed until further notice.

All classes at all sites are free of charge.

Currently, we are offering hybrid classes. A student is in a face to face class two days a week for 2 hours, and the rest of the class time is online.

The Arnold site is the only site offering classes to help English Language Learners (ELL/ESL) currently.

Most adults aged 17 years and older. However, we can not accept candidates with an F-1 visa.
