HELP was created in 2007 to provide no-cost ESL education for immigrants. Most students are adults. Language proficiency is assesed. Levels range from no English to beginners and advanced. Beginning classes are taught by bilingual educators. Volunteer tutors assist. Students are evaluated and tested regularly. Nominal cost child care and preschool programs are offered. Students may also be assisted with preparation for citizenship.
Hours of operation: Tues. thru Thurs. 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. during school year
Cost info: Classroom education is free. Students pay a nominal cost for books. There is a small cost for childcare.
