Forest Park High School (FPHS) is a Title I suburban school in Georgia. In an effort to close the achievement gap in math and science, FPHS is seeking funding to create a STREAM focused educational experience to assist our existing comprehensive academic program by exposing students to science, technology, reading, engineering and math learning opportunities that will enhance science and math literacy and improve student achievement. Students that participate in the STREAM Program will receive STREAM curriculum enrichment through an after-school program, Saturday School Academies and summer program. All student programs will follow a research-based curricula adopted and implemented by the Clayton County Public Schools System. In addition to a focus on student math and science literacy and academic achievement, we will aim to complement student success by targeting adult learning and increased parental support through a Parent Academy. The STREAM Challenge proposes a well-rounded and comprehensive academic program with the overall goal of closing the achievement gap and ensuring student success.
