Program Overview

The English Language Learner Program offers pre-beginner, beginner and level 1 classes for individuals and families over the age of 18. Topics range from daily living skills, vocation, doctor appointments, culture, getting involved in your child's education. Families who are unemployed or homeless are offered case management services through the Pathway of Hope program.

We are one of the only programs in Nashville that provides childcare!!

Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Hours of operation: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Cost info: Cost to student is $10 workbook but the classes are free.

Program’s Demographics/Metrics

40 students were on the role between July 1 - Dec 31, 2015. The program is new with a location opening in Madison, TN. More than half of the students are hispanc.

The testing and demographic data will be compiled once the new location is open February 1, 2016.
