Program Overview

Since 2002, Delta Council Adult Literacy Program has been offering free services to adults 18 years and older residing in either of the 18 MS Delta or part-Delta counties. The program is a 10-week one-on-one service. Tutors living in various MS Delta community travel to approved teaching sites throughout the Delta to work with students. Counties in the Delta Council Region includes Bolivar, Carroll, Coahoma, Desoto, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Panola, Quitman, Sharkey, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica, Warren, Washington, and Yazoo.
