Program Overview

CBL provides a wide array of year round out of school academic enrichment and cultural activities to help improve the academic performance of children from single parent families that live in low income communities. CBL's principal academic enrichment strategies focus on: 1) Preschool learning activities to provide early learning instruction for ages 2-5; 2) K-12 after school supplemental learning with primary focus on one-on-one targeted tutoring to help student's solve their academic deficiencies to meet and/or exceed state academic performance standards; 3) Specialized tutor training to teach other non profit and community organizations how to actively engage students in the learning process through the use of examples and hands-on demonstrations and activities; 4) Parent engagement activities which gets parents involved and committed to their child(ren)'s education; 5) Summer academic enrichment activities, to help students maintain or exceed the learning levels gained during the school year.

Hours of operation: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
