Program Overview

College & Career Readiness
College & Career Readiness programs include: Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, and Adult Secondary Education. Adult Secondary Education includes the Adult High School Diploma program and the High School Equivalency Diploma program. Our programs are designed to help adult learners:
Learn to read
Improve math, reading, and writing skills
Earn a high school diploma or high school diploma equivalent (formerly GED®)
Learn English as a Second Language
Develop the basic and academic skills needed for the work place and/or postsecondary education
College and Career Readiness programs are FREE and open to students age 16 and older. However, if your are 16 or 17 years of age you must have been out of school for at least 6 months and/or obtained a release from the last school you attended.
Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult Basic Education is a program of instruction designed for adult learners who need to improve their skills in reading, writing, and/or mathematics. Instruction covers the fundamentals of mathematics, reading, and oral and written communications.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
English as a Second Language is a program of instruction designed to help adults who have limited English proficiency. Instruction is offered in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
Adult Secondary Education (ASE)
Adult Secondary Education, 9.0 grade level and above, is designed to prepare adults for further education or transition toward skill obtainment and employment through the Adult High Diploma or High School Equivalency programs.
