Program Overview

Any parent or guardian of a child under twelve years of age who does not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate (HSEC) qualifies for family literacy. However, the program is designed to serve families most in need based on the parent's educational level, the family's household income and other factors. Immigrants who are not fluent in reading, writing and speaking English are eligible for our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. The program consists of four components: adult education, early childhood education, parent enrichment, and parent-and-child-together (PACT) time.

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Cost info: The Wyoming State Legislature has appropriated funds to support this program. There are no direct costs to families. However, enrolling in a family literacy program does require a commitment, and you will be expected to participate fully by attending classes and other special events. Lack of or repeated unexcused absences can result in you being exited from the program.
