Provide Youth with the opportunity to develop job skills, have the opportunity for work experiences and other experiences to develop the social and behavioral skills required to succeed in today's workplace. The delivery of partner services through a Career Center system is critical to the effective delivery of services at a local level. Workforce Investment Area (WIA) services alone cannot meet the needs of many of our customers. It is critical WIA services be delivered in coordination with other WIA partner services (Adult Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, TN Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development, Dept. of Human Services and more) in a fashion that meets the customer needs.
The agency conducts GED and literacy assessments, and will make referrals to other literacy agencies, when needed.
East Tennessee Human Resource Agency's mission is to provide services throughout the region that help families and individuals remain independent and with opportunities to succeed.
