Alachua County Library District's Literacy Program serves adults who want to
- Improve reading and writing skills
- Learn English (for non-native speakers)
- Practice for the GED
The Literacy Program also helps adults who have difficulty reading and writing
- Sign up for library cards
- Use library resources
- Learn basic digital skills
- Find programs and services in the community
As of May 2021, the Literacy Program is not accepting new learners, but we can help you find programs in the community and help you use library resources. This may change soon, please feel free to call or email to see when normal services will resume.
Hours of operation: varies; work around tutor and learner schedules
Cost info: All adult literacy and English language learning services and programs are free. Some may require registering for a library card.
Adults, 18 and up. We can make referrals for teens and youth.
