Program Overview

The goal of the Abriendo Puertas Parenting Program is to
support Latino parents in their roles as family leaders and as the child's first and most influential teacher. Featuring a best practices, nationally evaluated curriculum designed by and
for Latino parents and caregivers, the program provides a 10-week course that equips participants with the skills and knowledge they need to support the development and school readiness of their child ages 0-5. Through a two-generation approach, the Abriendo Puertas parenting program builds parent
leadership skills and knowledge to promote family well-being and positive educational and developmental outcomes for children. The program targets low-income individuals and those with limited English proficiency.
